Finals

It's that time again, finals week that is. Is there anything worse when it comes to school than finals? You have final projects, final papers, and my personal favorite... final exam. I am studying for a 3 hour exam over the different diseases and conditions of the human body which is due by the end of tomorrow night. Of course, I could have took the test already, but that's a pretty difficult test to get prepared for & feel prepared for. The bright side is that you actually get to sigh in relief and thank God that it is finally over, and hopefully get a few days off and be completely out of school. Then you get to start all over again with new classes, new classmates, and new teachers. Although I have to say that these last two classes have went by pretty quickly for the most part. This is a really good thing because the sooner I get through my classes, the sooner I will have reached my goal and earned my degree. To my classmates & teachers, I wish you all the best.

"March Madness"

First of all, I have to admit that I am a huge college basketball fan! So, naturally I look forward to the month of March, the NCAA tournament, and all the excitement that goes with it. I live in Frankfort, Kentucky & as far back as I can remember I have watched the Kentucky games religiously. Obviously, the Wildcats are in the South Eastern Conference, or the SEC, and the SEC tournament starts this Thursday. So, we wildcat fans will be cheering our team on and wishing them the best of luck throughout the SEC & NCAA tournaments. Since I have started blogging, I have tried to refrain from writing about my love for the Cats. The reason being is that I understand that we all are from different states, and that we all love and support our teams. This I'm sure we have in common. So no matter who wins, we will all enjoy watching all of these very talented teams play their hearts out & for that we must give them credit and respect.
The NCAA tournament gives 64 teams a chance to become the number one team in the nation. It allows the underdogs, smaller teams, and ranked teams to display their talent. It gives them the opportunity to be recognized, respected, and to receive the credit that they have earned and worked so hard for all season long. To me, that's what makes the NCAA Tournament such a great event and why it deserves the title “March Madness”. Best of luck to all the players, teams, and coaches!

American Idol

Okay, I know about everyone in the world watches American Idol. I mean come on, it's only been on how many seasons already? I'm not knocking it, but at the same time I've never been a big fan either. To be honest, I've only watched it twice before tonight and that was because my cousin was here and she watches it religiously. However, I was working on school tonight and it came on the television. Being busy with school, I didn't stop to change the channel. Then I heard this one boy singing and I reached to turn the volume up. Now, I've been trying to vote for this kid for like a half an hour, and there line is still busy! Since I first started trying to vote for this one boy, I seen several more sing and get criticized. I've come to realize that this show is pretty sad! Plus, you really like one person, but you feel sorry for another and then you don't know who to vote for. No wonder so many people watch this show, it's kind of addictive.
P.S. I'm still trying to cast my vote.
