Playing Catch Up

Playing catch up is exactly what I am trying to do. I am so far behind on my classes this week because I've had some kind of awful 'bug' for several days. After what seemed like forever, I finally started feeling better only to find myself sinking in an ocean of school work. I had a paper (rough draft) due for this class and another revision of a paper on coronary artery disease for my other class. Then my discussion posts for both classes, and this blog to do on top of everything else. Which I can never think of anything to write about. I guess it doesn't take long at all to get behind in college. Now that I think about it, it definitely takes longer to get out of any kind of mess than it does to get it one. I will eventually get things back together though, or at least I hope so. At least I'm trying to anyways. It's just a time consuming process. I hope everyone has a blessed week. Take care.
Sincerely, Becky

Crazy Little Thing Called College

This a really busy school week. I have two papers due by Tuesday night. One is in my "College Composition II" class, and the subject for that paper is about inmates with mental illness in our prison system. The other class is "Diseases of the Human Body" and the subject of that paper is Coronary Artery Disease. Not to mention our regular discussion posts and other work that needs to be done for the week. I feel that the research is the most time consuming part of the writing process. For me, the the most difficult aspect of writing these papers is getting the paragraphs to have a consistent flow to them. Then, I have to go through my free writing and my other pre-writing techniques to decide which ideas I want to put in paper and which ideas to leave out.
The stress of having two papers due in the same week is insane. But, it is a process that I must endure to reach my goal of passing these courses, in order to graduate and receive my degree. In the end, the hard work and stress will definitely pay off.

Syberian Husky

The picture in my profile is a Siberian Husky. His name was Apache. Yes, I did say "was" unfortunately. He was 16 years old, and he was & still remains the best dog in the world! He's beautiful, don't ya think? I'm a little buyist since he was mine, but no matter he still is beautiful. He got sick sick (bad) and unfortunately had to put him down. We buried him on the family farm. So, we can always go visit him when we want. He was an almost too friendly of a dog. What I mean by this is someone could have broken in the house and Apache would have just loved on him, lol. That is the only flaw the dog had: that's if you consider that a flaw. He was awesome! He weighed around 120 pounds before he got sick. The mailman would always tease me as I would walk him. He would shout "who's walking who?" I love & miss you Apache.

Valentine's Day

February 14th aka "Valentine's Day" is celebrated every year by couples in love. It is a day that every girl looks forward to with anticipation. But, I have the same problem every year. I never know what to get my boyfriend. Of course, he's one of those people that you dread shopping for on Christmas. This is because of two particular reasons: First, he already has everything & Second, he's just hard to please in general. At least at Christmas, there's a much bigger variety of things to choose from. Eventually, you just pick out something and hope for the best.
But come February, you must pick from teddy bears, cologne, flowers or candy. Well, cologne would be great, except for the fact that he has several bottles and rarely uses any. I bought him a teddy bear a couple of years ago, but I may wind up buying him another one this year. The real issue is: what can you buy that's not SO "GIRLY"? If anyone reads this, and has any ideas I would LOVE to hear them. To the ladies: what do you buy your man? and to the men: what present would you like to get for Valentine' Day?
